With our newest jewelry drop “the Unshallow collection” , it´s time to shine a light on what´s going on beneath the surface of the sea. Coral reefs are the beating heart of our oceans. They provide nurseries and food for a quarter of all marine life and sustain a billion people worldwide. The reefs are the most vulnerable ecosystem on the planet. If ocean temperatures rise as predicted, they could be gone within our lifetime.
The Great Barrier Reef is fighting for her life, and thousands of good forces are fighting for her future. The Reef is a unique ecosystem, home to thousands of species of marine life including fish, whales, dolphins and six of the world´s seven species of marine turtle. We believe passionately that every company has a responsibility to help make this world a better place for all living. For us at Wangari, everything evolves around creating collections worth talking about and supporting nonprofits making a difference.
We are determined to make sure our brand brings hope and strength in every touchpoint possible. That´s why we dedicate the Unshallow collection to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, and their work to restore and protect one of the seven natural wonders of the world - The Great Barrier Reef.
